Kawasaki today launched Ninja 400 inline with its Ninja DNA with an ex-showroom price of 4.69 lakhs in India.The curves are brought from its elder sibling Ninja H2 making it more powerful than Ninja 300.

“Ninja 300 is mainly made for beginners and Ninja 650 is popular among experienced riders. However, Ninja 400 fits the bill for those who are willing to buy a sports bike between 300 and 650cc,” said Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, on the launch of Ninja 400.
The bike is powered by an all-new 399cc parallel-twin engine which pulls out 49PS at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 38Nm at 8,000rpm. The liquid-cooled motor delivers 10PS more than the 300cc model and the performance is also higher than its key rivals. The new Ninja 400 offers 7PS more than the Yamaha YZF-R3 and 5.5PS more than the KTM RC 390.Making it an worthy contender among its rivals.With 45hp and 38Nm, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 continues to compete against the Yamaha YZF-R3, Benelli 302R and the KTM RC 390 in India.
