 News : First impressions of 2019 Yamaha YZF – R3

Revolutionary that is how the new definition of Yamaha  YZF – R3 is. R3 is one of the most important members of Yamaha family and Yamaha always knew about it . In-order to fair with competition Yamaha wanted to bring some important changes in this member of racing DNA to improve its performance both on and off road.

Fairing gets slimmer and that helps the rider in terms of wind protection. Just like its elder sibling M1 it gets the central duct for air intake and is equipped with LED headlights make it look more sharper and allowing the air roaming facility getting simpler.

Stance of the handler gets more aggressive now.Speedometer is now cent percent Digital.The inverted fork has 37mm of dimension and rear shock is adjustable.Yamaha engineers have worked hard to improve the aerodynamics that will reduce the wind resistance.That also helps to increase the speed by 7 plus km/ hr to nearly 200 km/h.

It also gets the 321 cc, parallel 2 – cylinder that will give an output of 42 ps of raw power.As the handlebars are aggressive and the fuel tank is wide it allows rider to sneak in to avoid wind turbulence and resistance.

Compared to circuit conditions it will be little difficult to ride on the roads during normal traffic conditions due to its aggressive stance and the built in racing DNA but it may not be tough as the power is good for rider to handle.However on the circuit it becomes more agile and rider friendly ,crisp and sportier which is a great advantage to the rider.

Yamaha has improved the suspension of R3 and it gets plus 7mm of front inverted fork and the rear shocks has also been improved.Also the power to weight ratio has been greatly increased making it an ideal choice on circuit.the YZF-R3 is ultra-light, nimble, and confidence inspiring.

Braking duties are performed by  298 mm floating-mount front disc brake that ensures excellent stopping power, while a 220 mm floating disc handles the braking performance at the rear.It gives the sense of fulfillment for a rider.

The Digital LCD speedometer has a fuel gauge, gear change position indicators, adjustable shift timing indicators and more.
Handlebar gets lowered by 20 plus mm and the seat height is 780 mm making it a comfortable position for rider to ride in any condition.

Overall a great and versatile package from Yamaha for those who are looking to get it on track as well as off track.
