Not long ago CRF250L and CRF250 RALLY were discontinued by Honda. However, the good part is we know there are successor models in place.
In Japan, the Euro 5 norms vehicles won’t be equivalent till 2022 November and the CRF250L and CRF250RALLY will correspond to it.
That makes pretty clear about the successor models and they may go on sale latest by November 2022 . That’s how we see the entire picture.
Both CRF250L and CRF250RALLY are global models, and they are sold in Europe, and they may very well be announced as 2021 models in 2020.
Upgrades in the engine and exhaust system suggest the successor models are aligned to EURO5 norms.
These models also get theOBD2 and ABS. On the contrary with these upgrades, the specs will slightly change and the price will rise.
What are the expected changes in 2022 models?
- At least CRF250L is likely to be a huge change (LED conversion) of the headlight.
- We expect a slight change in the blinkers and tail lamp.
- Will the dash change? It may as far as we know.
- Small changes in engine and exhaust system.
- It might well get the assist and slipper clutch.
We are not sure about the price as of now but the motivating factor here is Honda will announce these models around summer or autumn 2020 in Japan.
